Booking Contract

Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when Aosta Valley Freeride issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please check your confirmation email carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to Aosta Valley Freeride immediately. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please reach out to our office.

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. You agree to provide full, complete and accurate information to Aosta Valley Freeride.

21-Day Risk Free booking window

After putting down a ride deposit, you can cancel at any point during the first 21 days after booking and get a 100% refund. This allows you 3 weeks to sort out flights and vacation time without having to worry about someone else taking your spot(s).

Lifetime deposit policy

All bookings require a 50% deposit. Our Lifetime Deposit policy allows any of our Riders (i.e. clients) forced to delay a departure  the ability to apply their initial deposit towards a later scheduled date or another Ride at no extra charge.

As long as you give us 30 days notice, your deposit will be good forever, whether you use it for the same trip or transfer it to another one. A Lifetime Deposit has no expiration date and can be used once for any departure.

A Lifetime Deposit is also transferable, meaning that you can transfer your deposit to another Rider as a gift. You can even choose to donate your deposit to our sister non-profit, Aosta Valley trail care. We’ll then match the value of your donation!

There are some important conditions to be aware of regarding our Lifetime Deposits:

  • A Lifetime Deposit is applicable in the period after the 21-day Risk-Free Booking Window and the 30 days prior to the scheduled departure,
  • Any cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure will be treated as a passenger cancellation, in which case the entire payment,
  • Lifetime Deposits, or any portion of them, are not refundable in cash,
  • Guiding tours only (not full package) may be exempt from Lifetime Deposits.

When you’re ready to book another adventure with us, simply use your Lifetime Deposit to confirm your new Ride.

Remaining balace and payments

After securing your booking with a deposit, the remaining balance is due 20 days prior to the ride start date.

Cancellation by you

We require 30 days notice for cancellations. If you cancel outside of 30+ days of your ride your Lifetime Deposit will still be active and can be applied to a future ride. Please see our Lifetime Deposit poilcy above for full details.

If you cancel within 30 days of your scheduled departure, you will be forfeiting the full amount of your Ride.

Cancellation by us

We require a minimum of 4 Riders to confirm the ride is running. Once you’ve booked your spot(s), our office will confirm if the trip is running.

If the required minimum number of clients according to the description is not reached, we will find an individual solution I.E. surcharge for a private trip.

Insurance and risks

You are aware that biking is a dangerous activity and you understand that you, and every member of your group need appropriate insurance cover for the activity, which takes place in occasionally very remote areas. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs while you are on holiday with us.

In addition, Aosta Valley Freeride cannot take any responsibility for damage or loss to property (e.g. bikes) and / or individuals, due to unsatisfactory condition of your, or any other rider’s bike, (including rented bikes). The condition of bikes can be affected by use or transport. It is mandatory to wear a certified helmet. Bike servicing and maintenance is the respective owner’s / hirer’s responsibility. Aosta Valley Freeride cannot take any responsibility for injuries to individuals during our rides. We are professional guides, but cannot control what you do on your bike. Riding in control and within your own limit is your responsibility.

If in doubt at any point please get off and walk as much as you need to. If you don’t have your travel and activity insurance, you can buy it HERE.
